When someone says, “I’m working through her filmography,” they mean they are watching the movies that person made or appeared in, not just their most famous titles. A filmography can include feature films, shorts, documentaries, TV work, and even voice roles, depending on how broad the listing is.
For example, an actor’s filmography might highlight their lead roles, supporting roles, and cameo appearances across decades, which can show how their career has evolved. A director’s filmography can reveal patterns, like recurring collaborators, favorite genres, or themes that keep resurfacing from film to film.
