The Criterion Channel Lineup for September 2023

Fall is right around the corner, and with that comes another new set of playlists courtesy of The Criterion Channel for September. They’re offering a handful of new options in next month, many of which I can’t wait to check out. I’ve already got my eyes set on one particular appetizer that will lead perfectly into whatever their plans are for October – surely horror themed.

Among the playlists for September are an ode to automobiles in the 70s, scares at your local high school, mid-20th century noir, multiple director’s playlists, and more. Here’s how they’re broken down even further:

The Criterion Collection will also host a handful of other releases, including the exclusive streaming premieres for The Eight Mountains, The Blue Caftan, and Dry Ground Burning. Older films coming to the streamer include Do the Right Thing, Coogan’s Bluff, Peggie Sue Got Married, and a collection of vampire flicks from Hong Kong.
